Murderball Mayhem

The Sin City Skulls would like to thank everyone who came out to support the team and help them with their fundraiser. The money raised will go to help the team pay for travel expenses for the up coming season. We would like to express special thanks to the the LVPD, LVFD, Better Life, LV Sorts Magazine, the Neanderdolls, and the guys from ISEC that participated in exhibition games with the Skulls. We would also like to thank Chuck Minker Sports Complex for letting us use their facility and allowing us to call it home. Thank you to all the businesses that gave generous donations for the team to raffle off. Last but certainly not least thank you to everyone who spent their Saturday cooking food, running the score board, selling shirts, collecting admission fees, and reffing our games, we had a great time and hope you did as well. Please come check out the team in its season opener the 3rd Annual Helter Skelter Tournament, October 12-14, 2007 at Chuck Minker Sports Complex. Once again thank you all for making it a great event.

The Sin City Skulls

Summer practices have begun! The team is practicing twice a week gearing up for this summer’s off season tournament here in Vegas. The Summer Slam is June 29th- July 1st at Veteran’s Memorial Leisure Services Gymnasium on Pavillion Drive in Summerlin. The Helter Skelter tournament will be at the same place in October.

We are scouting new players and have had offers from some veterans of the game looking for a team to grow with. We are excited for the coming season and are expecting GREAT things! We are holding as many fund raisers as we can cram into the summer in preparation for the coming season’s travel expenses. We greatly appreciate all the support we have received thus far and have too many great sponsors to thank. You know who you are- and we are thankful for your support!

If you are interested in supporting the team with your donation, please contact our Program Director, Mr. Bob Murray via email at: rmurray@lasvegasnevada.gov or by phone at (702) 229-7403. You may also contact our Head Coach, Mr. Brad Oram via email at raidersxv@aol.com or by phone at (702) 326-8500.

This weekend, May 19th we will be participating in the Las Vegas Sports Fest at the Kellog-Zaher Sports Park. We want to say thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this. Admission is free to the public and the festival runs from 9am to 6pm that day. For more information and directions, please follow this link: http://lvsportsmagazine.com/lvsportsfest/

Stay tuned for the latest in Sin City Skulls News!!! We appreciate all the support both past and future!

The Sin City Skulls Quad Rugby Team had a good year. It was a developing year for the team, however, by the end of the season the improvements made were immeasurable. They looked like a completely different team from the Helter Skelter tournament held in October in Las Vegas compared to the Sectional Tournament held the first week in March in Vancouver, Washington.

Next year holds lots of promise for the Skulls. The team is improving with every practice and is making leaps and bounds to become unified. There has been some of the rough patches one would see with any developing team, but in the future, ALL OTHER TEAMS BEWARE and LOOK OUT for the SIN CITY SKULLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
